Vapers urgently needed for video testimonials for new campaign
Posted on November 1, 2019
ATHRA urgently needs to find several Sydney-based vapers to tell their story in a video for a new campaign. We are ready to film the testimonials next week, all on one day from 7-9 November (exact date to be confirmed).
Vaping is facing a very uncertain future in Australia and must be protected. The current panic in the US about vaping-related lung injury, the ‘youth epidemic’ and flavours is threatening to spread to Australia and undermine the huge potential for vaping to improve public health.
It is important for vapers to share their lived-experience of vaping, which for many has been lifesaving. This is needed to counter some of the misleading and unscientific lobbying being used to discredit vaping.
The videos will be used in a social media and online education campaign. Vapers need to complete the questionnaire (which can be downloaded here) and return it to colin@athra.org.au as soon as possible.
We are looking for a range of everyday people of all ages, backgrounds, occupations and ethnicities, male and female. They simply need to tell their story to the camera: why they switched, how vaping has improved their lives and what their life would be like without vaping.
Recording will be done in a question and answer format, so it will be easy to take part, even for the camera-shy!
You can see previous ATHRA testimonial videos here, here and here.
A free nicotine prescription will be provided for all eligible participants who need one
We need to have the vapers locked in by next Monday (4 November) to proceed with this campaign. It would be a shame to cancel the campaign due to a lack of support from vapers.
If you have any queries, please email us.
